More about Oasis

Dr. Elliott is Passionate about Empowering African Voices

Dr. Elliott has dedicated three decades to serving the Church in Africa. As a publisher, this is not only an interest for Matthew but a life calling. He believes in and leads Oasis International’s vision for Africa to equip its own leaders to impact the global Church.

The Church in Africa is growing exponentially and has incredible potential. But resources written by and from African voices addressing uniquely Christian African needs are few and far between. To best equip and deepen discipleship, Dr. Elliott is leading Oasis in partnering with individuals throughout Africa to create excellent books and Bibles with unique African content.

Dr. Elliott and his team are empowering the voices of the vibrant Church in Africa as they disciple believers and speak to the global Church. Will you join him?

The Africa Study Bible

As early as 2007, Dr. Elliott began vision casting with other African leaders for what would become the Africa Study Bible and began official work on the project in 2010. It took 7 years and the work of 350 contributors from 50 nations to complete but it is now transforming ministries and leaders throughout Africa.

It has been an exciting journey for Dr. Elliott to see believers, churches, denominations, pastors, and even leaders of nations take possession of the Africa Study Bible as their own. Seeing African leaders talk about the impact this Bible is having on their own people with such delight and enthusiasm makes all the years of work feel like a privilege and a pleasure for Dr. Elliott.
